There is no real freedom for women under Islamic law. They are chattel and are treated as such. If they do something that shames their family, there is no forgiveness.

It's hard to believe what women suffer in today's society. It's equally hard to believe that in this era of technology that some societies still operate in the dark ages. It just boggles the mind.
